Today, MM6 Maison Margiela and SALOMON open a fresh chapter in the brands’ ongoing collaboration; a celebration of a shared ethos offering unconventional perspectives on progressive and technically advanced designs.

Kicking off the first drop in a new series of footwear designs, the X-Alp is subtly adapted for the MM6 Maison Margiela Spring-Summer 2024 collection.

Conceptually refreshed by the MM6 design studio, the protective and functional hiking shoe is reinterpreted in two new neat and radical colourways, toning down the technical details to focus on the shoe’s cool aerodynamic shape. Graphic silhouettes of pure monochrome black and signature shades of whites and creams contrasted with black details add a sharp, sartorial edge to this staple of SALOMON’s mountaineering heritage. The line of the iconic sneaker is distilled into a new urban classic.

Like a handmade stamp, the MM6 numeric signature logo unexpectedly crops up on the shoe’s tongue, an artisanal hallmark to complement the bold, hi-tech graphic of

the SALOMON logo.
