Between international tours, major revivals at Theaterhaus Stuttgart, and a flurry of prestigious accolades in the latest tanz yearbook, the company proves once again why it remains one of the most dynamic forces in contemporary dance.

Global Footprint: Panama City, New York, and Beyond

While returning company members use the first weeks back as a smooth physical refresher, the newcomers face a true baptism by fire. They must master the intricate choreographies of the repertoire in record time—because the curtain rises on international soil at the end of September 2026, with major tour stops in Panama City and New York.

The heavy travel schedule continues through October for both the main company and the JUNIORS. November 2026, however, brings the troupes home to Stuttgart for an eagerly anticipated residency at Theaterhaus. Audiences can look forward to two major revivals: Akram Khan’s spellbinding Turning of Bones with the main company, and four near-sold-out performances of the JUNIORS’ hit production Radical Classical.

Looking Ahead: Premieres and Advance Sales

Behind the scenes, the creative engine is already running at full speed for upcoming premieres. The JUNIORS have blocked out an intense three-week rehearsal block to dive into Hofesh Shechter’s electrifying From England with Love, ahead of its premiere on January 22, 2027.

Celebrating Critical Acclaim: tanz Yearbook Honors

The triumph of the past season continues to echo, most notably in the prestigious 2026 yearbook of the specialist magazine tanz. Gauthier Dance has not only been named among the 2025/26 Season Standouts, but company-affiliated artists have also swept major individual honors. Dancer Rebecca Amoroso was distinguished in the „Trailblazers“ category for newcomers, while Sharon Eyal earned the coveted title of Choreographer of the Year.

Eric Gauthier and Theaterhaus Stuttgart have special reason to celebrate: on October 15, 2026, Torsten Kutschke, editor of Theaterverlag, will travel to Stuttgart to personally present Eric Gauthier with the Season Standout certificate live on stage. Adding to the triumph, tanznetz has once again singled out Gauthier Dance as one of the most frequently mentioned „Favourites“ in its 25/26 season survey, following the company’s milestone „Company of the Year“ win in 2025.
