RENCONTRES INTERNATIONALES IN BERLIN

RENCONTRES INTERNATIONALES IN BERLIN

Major event dedicated to contemporary audiovisual creation, the Rencontres Internationales will be held in Berlin from June 19 to 24, 2018, at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Throughout 6 days of free access, a space for discovery and sharing focused on moving image contemporary practices will be available to all.

OPENING
TUESDAY JUNE 19, FROM 7PM
SCREENING + MULTIMEDIA PERFORMANCE + PARTY

Crossing new cinema and contemporary art, this unique platform in Europe provides a rare opening on contemporary audiovisual practices. Documentary approaches, experimental fictions, videos, hybrid forms: the programme of Rencontres Internationales is the result of a thorough research and of invitations to some artists.
In the presence of 80 artists and filmmakers from all over the world, this edition introduces a brand new international programme, comprising 120 works from 40 countries. By bringing together internationally renowned artists and filmmakers with young and emerging ones, the audience will attend indoor screenings – premieres, special events, video screenings, performances and forums led by artists and curators, who will share their experience and views on new audiovisual practices and issues with the audience.
