He is at it again, and nothing can keep him down – especially during this historic year for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills, known as Mr. Monarchy for his vast Royal knowledge and extensive media career, created a new 2-track anthem to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, commissioning EIIR: The Platinum Record, A Jubilee Anthem through the British Monarchists Society, of which he is founder, after nearly a year and a half of creative work.

Garnering one spot on the music charts is difficult – having two at the same time is a near impossible feat. Working alongside British-based South African composer and opera singer Anton Van Der Mere, private Royal composer Dr. Olga Thomas, Britain’s well-known soprano Lesley Garrett CBE, West End performer Rodney Earl Clarke and the London Community Gospel Choir, Mace-Archer-Mills landed his project in the top two positions on the iTunes UK classical chart. The double A-side pairs The Four British Nations, composed by Dr. Olga Thomas with lyrics and Latin arranged by Mace-Archer-Mills and produced with famed musician Robert Emery, with (Your Majesty) We Thank You From Our Hearts, composed by Anton Van Der Mere – a musical theatre-esque voyage around Her Majesty’s Realms and the greater Commonwealth, with steel drums of the Caribbean, the didgeridoo of Australia and authentic Hindi, Maori and Swahili chants.

Dr. Thomas said of the work: Thomas gave a very clear conception of what he wanted; his idea to bring Latin words into the work evoked the image of Her Majesty’s Coronation of 1953 – British state pomp and pageantry. Van Der Mere said working with Thomas was like working with a brother, in near perfect sync, with the same work ethos and standard of excellence. The British Monarchists Society presented the world premiere at the luxury five-star Rubens at The Palace Hotel opposite the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, London, on 20 April, the eve of Her Majesty’s 96th birthday, for members of the Royal household, Lords and Members of Parliament, High Commissioners, celebrities, Royal Warrant Holders and VIPs – with a personal memorial mention for Sir David Amess MP. In the early morning hours of the Queen’s Birthday, 21 April, it was announced that both songs debuted at number 1 and number 2 on the iTunes Classical Music chart in the UK, and the album debuted at number 27 on the iTunes UK Top 100 Albums chart.

Recently a guest lecturer on Princess Cruise Lines‘ Sky Princess and a commentator on BBC Radio, GB News, Sky News, The Jim Masters Show, Polish State Television and New York’s WPIX News 11, Mace-Archer-Mills stated: „This may have been my vision, but it is everyone involved that has made it come to life. We have created something ever so special which spans 70 years of a reign and 96 years of a life in just a few moments of song.“ Asked about defying his critics, he offered: „This project stands and exists on its own merit. Critics, naysayers, bah, I am one to pick myself up and move on.
