„Saudade is a word that I have always loved and it is associated by definition with the attitude of nostalgic regret,“ according to Pearz. The mood of melancholy, particularly fitting in these difficult times in which we often find ourselves remembering a lost past, is combined with the strong desire for something missing. Born thanks to a spontaneous, entirely instrumental process, the track is pervaded by relaxed rhythms with inevitable Brazilian influences and elegant melodies that evoke positive memories.
Shot by Jules Apollinaire (TTRUUCES, Findlay), over the course of twenty-four hours, the video of the single follows Pearz in various London locations, where he plays the pianos made available by the city, despite many of them having recently been removed from the public spaces due to the pandemic. For the cover artwork, Pearz continues the collaboration with the acclaimed graphic designer Raissa Pardini, already at work for artists such as IDLES, The Orielles and Mystery Jets.
Pearz moved to London in 2013 following his brit rock band The Hacienda’s international success and he soon became an estimated session and touring musician, a path that brought him to tour not only the UK but the whole of Europe with acts such as Tess Parks, M!R!M, Suki Waterhouse, Go!Zilla, Dead Coast, Elius Inferno & The Magic Octagram, Desert Ships, and Gil De Ray. All these experiences are conveyed in the surprising debut EP Nocturnal of 2020, a physical and psychological journey through the night, and in the previous acid house single Social Amnesia, dating back to 2021.
Gifted of great compositional technique, Pearz has absorbed and reworked the influence of different genres, from the typical groove of Italian soundtracks to Balearic music, from nu jazz to soul and electroop. Saudade is the ideal soundtrack to warm this winter.

Saudade ist die neue Single von Pearz , dem Projekt des in Italien geborenen und in London lebenden Multiinstrumentalisten Francesco Perini , die am 11. Februar 2022 für Annibale Records auf allen digitalen Plattformen.
„ Saudade ist ein Wort, das ich schon immer geliebt habe, und es wird per Definition mit der Haltung des nostalgischen Bedauerns in Verbindung gebracht “, so Pearz. Die melancholische Stimmung, besonders passend in diesen schwierigen Zeiten, in denen wir uns oft an eine verlorene Vergangenheit erinnern, verbindet sich mit dem starken Verlangen nach etwas, das fehlt. Entstanden aus einem spontanen, rein instrumentalen Prozess, ist der Track durchzogen von entspannten Rhythmen mit unvermeidlichen brasilianischen Einflüssen und eleganten Melodien, die positive Erinnerungen wecken.
Das von Jules Apollinaire (TTRUUCES, Findlay) gedrehte Video der Single folgt Pearz im Laufe von 24 Stunden an verschiedenen Orten in London, wo er auf den von der Stadt zur Verfügung gestellten Klavieren spielt, obwohl viele von ihnen kürzlich entfernt wurden aus dem öffentlichen Raum aufgrund der Pandemie. Für das Cover-Artwork setzt Pearz die Zusammenarbeit mit der gefeierten Grafikdesignerin Raissa Pardini fort , die bereits für Künstler wie IDLES, The Orielles und Mystery Jets arbeitet.
