Under the desert sun, Palm Springs did what it does best: throw a beautiful party for a serious cause. The Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation – REAF – hosted its House Party PS gathering under the banner Glitz & Glam, advancing one of its most meaningful projects: a permanent AIDS memorial for Palm Springs.

Hosts Steve Campbell, Rock Hall and Camerone Parker guided a program that opened at 5 p.m. with welcome drinks, a photo experience and a silent auction that closed by 8 p.m. Sponsors including Delta Dental, OUTbound, The Palm Springs Post, KGAY and Gay Desert Guide lined the entrance, and lead sponsor Jim Neuman headed a long list of supporters.

Entertainment carried the night – performances by Billy L’Amour and David Burnham, a Bette Midler tribute element featuring Sheri Rae Parker, emcee Bella da Ball, Miss Bee Haven greeting guests and catering by Lynn Hammond. The memorial the evening supports would honor lives affected by AIDS and educate generations to come – proof, in REAF’s telling, that elegance and purpose amplify each other.

Eine wunderschöne Party fuer eine ernste Sache! Unter der Wuestensonne lud die Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation – REAF – zu ihrer House Party PS unter dem Motto Glitz & Glam nach Palm Springs. Das Ziel: ein permanentes AIDS-Memorial fuer die Stadt.

Die Gastgeber Steve Campbell, Rock Hall und Camerone Parker fuehrten durch einen Abend, der um 17 Uhr mit Willkommensdrinks, Foto-Erlebnis und stiller Auktion begann – die Auktion schloss um 20 Uhr. Zu den Sponsoren zaehlten Delta Dental, OUTbound, The Palm Springs Post, KGAY und Gay Desert Guide, Hauptsponsor war Jim Neuman.

Fuer Unterhaltung sorgten Billy L’Amour und David Burnham, eine Bette-Midler-Hommage mit Sheri Rae Parker, Moderatorin Bella da Ball, Miss Bee Haven und Catering von Lynn Hammond. Das geplante Memorial soll an die von AIDS betroffenen Leben erinnern und kommende Generationen aufklaeren – Eleganz und Zweck, die sich gegenseitig verstaerken.
