The wave invades the soul, shakes the emotions, crashes, and refracts the light. It’s a sweet and wild motion, the one embodied by the Luisa Beccaria 2023 Spring / Summer woman; she is dynamic, and — in her life — she faces the vast ocean as well as the tiny lake.

Fabrics and textures portray an aquatic landscape, where the wave foam is a petals ruffle, and sun glares on the sea are crystals and dancing sequins. Light fabrics such as georgette, organdy and satin are enriched by embroideries and fil coupé; prints include water lilies and faded flowers; cotton is carved into broderie anglaise leaves with marine hints; embroidered tulle shows flowers resembling a sea anemone.

Slinky shapes embrace the figure and outline clear silhouettes inspired by the wave motion, as in small frills, pleated details, crossing hems, tridimensional solutions.
Daywear counts impalpable chemisiers light as beach-robes, printed shoulder tie midi dresses, monochrome maxi dresses, with floral hints on thin belts tightening the waist, breezy fil coupé mini dresses with alluring v-neckline.
Crystal-like transparencies and mother-of-pearl glints light up the night with sparkling looks, seen on dreamy maxi dresses and palazzo pants jumpsuits for a seductive nowadays mermaid. The Capri mood — some Dolce Vita, some Seventies — inspires urban-nymph beachwear: swimsuits, flip flops, soft wide brim hats.
On the catwalk — a path among vague screens resembling ripple-waves — several accessories are seen: large crochet raffia tote bags and tiny sacks, open-toe Mary Jane shoes with the collection motifs, and laminated thong sandals. Shells stand out on the beach waves hairstyle punctuated by hairpins, or they become pendants and single earrings for a mediterranean nymph.
The colours are that of refracting water— indigo, light blue, aquamarine, turquoise, green, jade — sometimes illuminated by acid hues of seaweed, with touches of platinum, iridescences and the rose shades of a sea sunset.
