Just briefly raising my hand, despite the theatre holidays in Baden-Wuerttemberg. But the yearbook of the specialist magazine tanz, which was published a few days ago, was once again well worth a look for the Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart …

Particularly gratifying for Eric Gauthier and the team: the direct references to the hugely successful 15th anniversary season. Gauthier Dance received two nominations for Company of the Year 2023. Due to the exceptionally diverging verdicts of the dance critics, only two other companies were that successful this time. What’s more, Gaetano Signorelli was nominated as Dancer of the Year for his impressive role in Hofesh Shechter’s short film Return from the birthday programme 15 YEARS ALIVE.
Speaking of Hofesh Shechter and Return: The film is currently attracting a lot of attention in the international festival scene. There will be screenings at the POOL 23 – MOVEMENT ART FILM Festival in Berlin on September 14, 2023 plus at the San Francisco Dance Festival and the International Screen Dance Festival London in October 2023.
