Billis/Williams Gallery Illuminates November with Dual Exhibitions

A pair of striking shows by Judy Nimtz and Bruce Everett celebrate art’s timeless dialogue between permanence and transformation.

A Story by Award Winning Managing Editor His Highness Dr. Prince Mario-Max zu Schaumburg-Lippe.

At the Billis/Williams Gallery in Los Angeles, the autumn exhibition season brings a thoughtful harmony between stillness and motion, tradition and evolution. On view through November 8, two concurrent solo exhibitions, Judy Nimtz’s Of Marble and Muse and Bruce Everett’s Beyond All That Changes, invite viewers into distinct yet complementary explorations of form, light, and memory.

Of Marble and Muse

Judy Nimtz’s Of Marble and Muse anchors the season with an exploration of the figure and its enduring presence in the language of painting. Her compositions reflect a disciplined attention to detail and an understanding of classical form that evokes the quiet dignity of sculpture. Through subtle tonal shifts and deliberate stillness, her paintings invite meditation on how beauty is observed, reimagined, and preserved across time. Her figures dwell in contemplation, translating the tactile permanence of sculpture into the ephemeral medium of paint.

Beyond All That Changes

In a complementary gesture, Bruce Everett’s Beyond All That Changes extends the exhibition’s reach into the landscape. Known for his luminous interpretations of the California environment, Everett’s paintings navigate the shifting interplay of light, shadow, and perception. His brushwork is grounded in realism yet guided by intuition, and the title underscores a quiet confidence in continuity: while the world moves forward, the essence of the land remains.

Together, Nimtz and Everett offer a dialogue between solidity and fluidity, between what stands and what shifts. Located on La Cienega Boulevard, the gallery continues to serve as an anchor within Los Angeles‘ vibrant art corridor. As the exhibitions approach their closing date on November 8, anticipation grows for the next presentation opening November 15, featuring Fred Stonehouse and Christine Frerichs.

KUNST-DOPPELPACK IN LOS ANGELES!

Stillstand trifft Bewegung! In der Billis/Williams Gallery in Los Angeles bringt die Herbstsaison zwei Soloschauen in einen spannenden Dialog: Judy Nimtz mit Of Marble and Muse und Bruce Everett mit Beyond All That Changes, beide zu sehen bis zum 8. November.
