Washington is preparing for one of its most enduring spiritual gatherings. On June 6, 2026, the 28th Annual White House Prayer for Our Nation Global Day of Prayer will bring leaders, families and communities to Washington Monument Park along 16th Street NW for a day of unity, reflection and shared hope.

The movement was founded by Rev. Dr. Terry Lee and Dr. Joyce Lee, whose conviction has shaped it from the start: collective prayer can foster understanding, healing and renewed direction. Their emphasis on inclusivity – an open door rather than a narrow gate – has become the event’s defining characteristic, drawing participants from across the United States and beyond.

Among this year’s distinguished participants is H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, attending as a Global Peace Ambassador.
