Encore une fois le triple champion du monde catalan Marc Marquez (Honda), a fait coup double et s’empare seul des commandes du classement mondial devant l’Italien Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati), tout juste 7ème de la course. Auteur d’une belle remontée sans se presser Marquez décoche sa 5ème victoire de la saison. Son team Honda peut doublement se réjouir car son deuxième pilote Dani Pedrosa après également une remontée fantastique prend la deuxième place devant Jorge Lorenzo et sa Ducati longtemps en tête de la course mais qui a dû abdiqué face aux Honda. Coupe de chapeau à l’épatant Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) qui revient d’une grave blessure (double fracture tibia-péroné ) fin août qui termine à une courageuse 5ème place gagné au mental en étant dans le coup pour la victoire pendant les 2/3 de la course.
